After years of hosting this blog on a cheap cPanel and too many ownership changes, I got a notice from my hosting provider that it was time to move on (6x price increase). I found a serverless WordPress project and decided to go with it.
The migration was surprisingly straightforward. Really, the only hard part was migrating the data from the MySQL database I was using to the Sqlite store that SeverlessWP uses. This awk script helped some but the process took more manual editing than I bothered to document. Sorry.
The Redirection plugin I was using wasn’t compatible with Sqlite so I got rid of it and moved the redirects to the vercel.json file. I wouldn’t be surprised if a missed some.
